About
Cliff Harrison at WordPress is the gateway to my writing at WordPress. Although I am still working on the actual function of this site, for me it is a control panel which allows me to operate a large number of blogs under one dashboard. I originally intended for Cliff Harrison at WordPress to be like a directory and it may be in the finished state.
I am furious at Google and Blogger and most of Goggle-owned sites and services for the drastic changes they have made. I have been active with Google since about 2006 and unfortunately have chosen to leave the company. I have also been with WordPress for a long time. Both Blogger and WordPress have some great features the other does not have. Too, both have what I consider weaknesses. For example, WordPress does not allow ads, and that is a huge deterrent.
Google has become a great spy machine which rivals the former Soviet KGB and invades the online privacy of its users like more and more Internet companies do these days. Although few laws regulate the Internet privacy is a basic concern of Americans and Google as well as many others have gone beyond crossing the line of privacy invasion–they nearly invent it.
For more information on how to protect yourself from online privacy pirates and invaders visit my self-help website Christian River Magazine and explore the numerous articles on how-to help yourself with many of life’s obstacles. The Christian River Humanitarian Project is at the forefront of humanitarianism, self-help, self-education and how-to advocacy.
I am moving or deleting a large number of my blogs from Google-owned Blogger. Most of them are being moved to my self-hosted websites where I will control them 100%. Many other blogs will be hosted at WordPress or moved to WordPress, among them my fiction-writing blogs and I have a number of them.
So, as I reshape the Cliff Harrison Network and the networks, websites, blogs and communication media under the networks, Cliff Harrison at WordPress will act as a sort of guide to my blogs and photography as I get them in place.
From junkyard to front yard to street rod…
At the moment if you visit a large number of my weblogs, the RIVER Organization website and the RIVER network along with photo galleries you’ll find several of them that are not hidden from the public. Some blogs are temporarily in a private setting while I use my wrenches and tools on them. Others are visible much like a cluttered yard full of cars. Cars that are sitting on blocks with their wheels off, the hoods removed and laying on the ground nearby and parts scattered about. That is because I am sorting and repairing as I go along as I migrate many of these blogs. I archive some of the parts, some are archived in private some in public archives. Some are deleted. In some cases I transfer entire blogs while in other cases I move just some of the parts. So, the messy yard full of what appears to be junk cars is what a yard with the finest work-in-progress hot rods and America’s muscle cars look like while they are being restored and reconditioned.
When I finish my blogs the world will come running….
